A day in the life of a Realtor on Cape Cod- in Summer!

Posted to Beverly Comeau

As I sit at my desk on this 3B day (bright, blue, beautiful) trying to concentrate on paperwork and making phone calls, I am distracted by the strollers passing by my window with beach bags heading to the Boardwalk in flip flops, with ice cream cones in hand, sporting gift bags from the local art gallery and gift shops around the corner. They have a casual walk about them - they are on vacation time!

How to survive living and working on Cape Cod? I’ve had this conversation with many people in my business network and we’ve all learned to take a few minutes out of every day and do as the tourists do: have a picnic lunch along the canal, drive with your windows down and enjoy the smell of beach roses and salt air, visit the local shops to see what is new and talk with the shop owners, watch the spectacular sunset- and remind ourselves we can do this 365 days a year!

By the way, you never know who you’ll bump into . . . . Henry Winkler is in town! He spoke at Sandwich High School yesterday about his books and will be the guest conductor for the Boston Pops Concert on the Green in Hyannis tomorrow!

There are many little getaways or year-round homes to be bought within a mile of the beach starting at $259,900 or a mile of Sandwich Village beginning at $315,000. Come to my web site, http://www.BeverlyComeau.com, and I can help you find one.

One of my clients introduced me to a helpful website - http://www.walkscore.com - to find a walkable place to live by calculating a Walk Score for any address. Stay healthy!
